Devon has been part of the CrossFit community since 2010 and brings a steady, grounded approach to coaching at Yuba City CrossFit. He originally found CrossFit as a way to support motocross training, but quickly saw how transferable the methodology was to real life, durability, and long-term health.


“I originally got into CrossFit to support my motocross training, but it stuck because it just made sense.”


Devon values simplicity and consistency. His coaching style focuses on solid fundamentals, good movement, and helping people understand the why behind what they’re doing. He believes progress happens when people feel confident in the basics and supported through the process.


“Strong fundamentals matter. If you move well and stay consistent, everything else builds from there.”


Over the years, Devon has coached people from all backgrounds and experience levels. He enjoys helping people feel better in their bodies, move with more confidence, and leave the gym feeling accomplished rather than overwhelmed.


“You don’t have to be advanced to benefit from CrossFit. You just have to show up and be willing to work.”


Devon takes pride in creating an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, scaling when needed, and progressing at their own pace. He believes fitness should add to your life, not take away from it.


“Feeling better outside the gym is just as important as what happens inside it.”


Outside of coaching, Devon still enjoys staying active and appreciates training that supports longevity, balance, and everyday performance. His calm, approachable presence on the floor helps make classes feel structured, welcoming, and approachable for everyone.


At the core of Devon’s coaching philosophy is consistency, effort, and showing up for yourself, day after day.
