Media

Brey has been part of the CrossFit community since 2016 and handles media and storytelling for Yuba City CrossFit. Her role centers on capturing the people, moments, and everyday experiences that make the gym feel like more than just a place to work out.

“I love showing what actually happens here, the people, the small wins, the hard days, and the community that keeps everyone coming back.”

Outside of the gym, Brey is a professional photographer specializing in portraits, weddings, elopements, and boudoir. Her work focuses heavily on outdoor settings, immersed in nature, and is fueled by a deep love for travel and exploration. You can find her work at www.yosemitesgoldenphotography.com or find her on Instagram @yosemitesgoldenphotography. Her strongly influences how she documents YCCF, emphasizing authenticity, movement, and real connection.

“It’s not just about fitness. It’s about belonging, consistency, and showing up for yourself alongside other people.”

Brey believes media should reflect real life, not perfection. She aims to highlight progress at every level, capture behind-the-scenes moments, and create content that feels approachable and honest.

“I want people to see themselves here, not feel like they have to be a certain way to belong.”

Her background in visual storytelling helps shape how YCCF shows up online, focusing on people first and allowing the culture of the gym to speak for itself.

At its core, Brey’s role is about visibility, connection, and preserving the moments that define the community beyond the hour spent training.
