CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program developed using full body movements.
It is comprised of movements such as running, rowing, powerlifting, gymnastics, olympic lifting, jumping rope, flipping tires, carrying heavy objects, and many bodyweight exercises. We use barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, wall balls, gymnastics rings, pull-up bars, and boxes. These elements are mixed into countless combinations to form the prescribed “WOD” or- Workout of the Day. The classes are an hour long and typically include a warm-up and strength portion followed by the WOD.
The movements are 100% scalable to every fitness level and can be tailored to anyone’s abilities. If you are no longer seeing results with your current workout regimen, then it might be time to give CrossFit a try. We are a fun fitness community that welcomes any and all levels!
