I started Crossfit in August 2013. I walked into YCCF on a Saturday to try out a class and I was hooked. The combination of strength training and varied movements performed at high intensity, specifically the programming provided at YCCF, is incredible. It completely changed my understanding of what defined overall fitness.
A couple weeks into my Crossfit journey, I became pregnant with my second child. I continued my training under the coaching of our head coach, Abbey Sloulin, up until the day I had my daughter. Crossfit helped me bounce right back and set attainable goals for my post-baby body.
Crossfit, including the amazing community provided at YCCF, had been such a positive experience that I decided to get my Level 1 training in August 2015. I enjoy being a part of the YCCF team and hope to continue to inspire, motivate and encourage others in their Crossfit journeys.
