I have been a CrossFit trainer since August 2015. I’m proud to be a member of the highly qualified team of trainers at Yuba City CrossFit. As a former Division I college wrestler, I love the combination of High Intensity Interval Training and Olympic Power Lifting, which is fundamentally CrossFit. My full time job includes practicing medicine as a board certified Physician Assistant and I have spent my entire adult life not only studying health science and treating medical illness but also, and more importantly, promoting health & wellness. Before medical training at UC Davis School of Medicine, I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology and a Masters Degree in Exercise Science & Health Promotion with a concentration in Cardiopulmonary Pathophysiology at California Polytechnic State University. I have extensive experience in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Obesity Treatment, and Exercise Physiology. I am also a former faculty member of the UC Davis School of Medicine and still love teaching and sharing my knowledge and experience while coaching at Yuba City CrossFit. As a Masters Athlete, I enjoy helping older athletes obtain, and maintain, optimal fitness. (And CrossFit keeps me in good enough shape to still hang with the young guns!) I am a staunch advocate of CrossFit, especially in the context of the exceptional training team at Yuba City CrossFit. If you want to safely obtain optimal fitness, make some great friends, and learn about exercise, diet/nutrition, health science, and CrossFit, come check us out! You will not regret it.
