Biography
I have been a CrossFit trainer since August 2015. I’m proud to be a member of the highly qualified team of trainers at Yuba City CrossFit. As a former Division I college wrestler, I love the combination of High Intensity Interval Training and Olympic Power Lifting, which is fundamentally CrossFit. My full time job includes practicing medicine as a board certified Physician Assistant and I have spent my entire adult life not only studying health science and treating medical illness but also, and more importantly, promoting health & wellness. Before medical training at UC Davis School of Medicine, I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology and a Masters Degree in Exercise Science & Health Promotion with a concentration in Cardiopulmonary Pathophysiology at California Polytechnic State University. I have extensive experience in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Obesity Treatment, and Exercise Physiology. I am also a former faculty member of the UC Davis School of Medicine and still love teaching and sharing my knowledge and experience while coaching at Yuba City CrossFit. As a Masters Athlete, I enjoy helping older athletes obtain, and maintain, optimal fitness. (And CrossFit keeps me in good enough shape to still hang with the young guns!) I am a staunch advocate of CrossFit, especially in the context of the exceptional training team at Yuba City CrossFit.
